    The GAM 600SI mass spectrometer was developed for the analysis of complex gas mixtures. It is a dedicated system that proves most useful when difficult analytical problems have to be solved. The special ionisation technique in connection with the highly sensitive ion counting detection offers enhanced selectivity and provides sensitivity to the ppb-range. Equipped with a pressure controlled, heated gas inlet system and fast switching between different reagent gases, the instrument matches all demanding analytical requirements.

    In addition, the system is switchable from soft ionisation (SI) mode to conventional electron impact (EI) ionisation. This considerably enlarges the application range with respect to the detectable gases.


    The GAM 600SI provides fast and reliable measurement results. Typical application areas for online analysis are: catalyst research and catalytic processes, fuel cell development, engine and car development, emission minimisation, catalytic converters, air pollution and stack monitoring.
